Wednesday afternoon, an Officer was dispatched to the 1200 block of East Broadway Boulevard in reference to a report of a burglary/theft that occurred in the 1200 block of Spring Street. Samuel Butler stated the former tenant took tools and other items out of the previous location, which belonged to the victim. The items were recovered and given back to the victim. State charges of Burglary and Stealing are being submitted to the prosecutor. An arrest was not made at this time.
Early Friday morning, Officers were dispatched to the area near the Phillips 66, 216 West Broadway Boulevard in reference to gun shots in the area. The area was checked, but no victims or property damage was located.
Sedalia Police, Pettis County Sheriff’s Deputies, and the Mid Missouri Drug Task Force executed a search warrant in the 1500 block of Crestview Drive Thursday morning. One suspect was arrested, Carrie R. Galloway, 41, of Sedalia. Galloway was arrested on charges of Possession of a Controlled Substance, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Galloway had a warrant from the Kansas City Court of Appeals on original charges of Stealing. Galloway also had a warrant from Benton County on charges of felony Delivery of a Controlled Substance, felony Possession of a Controlled Substance, Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, and Failure to Transfer License Plates, and a Pettis County Failure to Appear warrant on an original charge of Trespassing. Galloway was transported to the Pettis County Jail with no bond.
